KD Oilfield Services Background (Established 1992)
KD Oilfield Services Inc. was founded in 1992 to provide Reliable Subsea Engineering, Manufacturing & Service Solutions in a Safe, Timely & Cost-Effective Manner.
From our inception KD Oilfield began as a primary fabricator for Tool Skids, Dollies, Umbilical Sheaves, Drilling Templates & Mud Mats. As we developed our Expertise, Quality Plans and Procedures we were awarded all of the EVA 4000 series Subsea BOP Stack Frames from Varco-Shaffer.
The development of a Unique Quality System (in Accordance with ISO 9001) provided the tools to execute efficiently for a wide variety of Clients and would ultimately spur a growth rate of over 300% per year over the initial 3 yr period, reaching an unprecedented 4.2M gross revenue with 62 employees at peak.
KD Oilfield would then introduce a line of rental Service Equipment, Pumps and Tooling to support and enhance our technical presence On & Offshore. Some of our older Equipment, Pumps and Tooling are still in use to this day.
Over the last three decades, KD Oilfield Services grew to provide Project Engineering, Planning & Management including Consulting Services in a wide variety of capacities to range of Operators including: ENI, Noble, NZOP, Total and BP.

KD Davis began his career in 1980 with Gray Tool Company where his responsibilities included Grayloc clamp design, stress analysis, pressure vessel designs mixed with daily review & dispositioning of manufactured parts. He was promoted to Dupont Account Engineering Mgr within 7 months.
KD was recruited by the FMC Wellhead Equipment Division following his brief 7 months with Gray Tool Company. He was placed in the R&D department and would later move to Subsea Applications Engineering where he would Design & Engineer Subsea Trees while implementing a host of new components to enhance and facilitate installation operations. His relentless approach to see it thru from Concept to Manufacturing, Assembly and Ultimately Installation would serve him well, becoming the primary candidate for 1st off FMC Subsea Trees around the world from the North Sea to Indonesia. KD would also assume the role of trouble shooting other equipment. |
